Our first trial run!!

           In order to keep our promise, "9 hrs from plant to pan", we have to harvest the vegetables at around 3 in the morning. In order to check the feasibility of the same we both went to one of the farms which we have tied up with. We started at around 12.00 midnight. 

Starting from home at 12 midnight to farm - around 53 kms away..

We have already informed the farmer about our activity and he is pleased to help us out. We came to know that Ladysfinger is ready to be harvested. So we went to the Ladysfinger crop and started plucking them with the help of the farmer.

We harvested around 2 kilograms of them and reached home by around 5 am. It was a wonderful adventure. We made it possible. Of course we had to take a few precautions. Now that, we have proved that night operations are possible.  We are convincing farmers to allow us to harvest at early in the morning so we can meet the 9 hrs time line. They seem to show interest in the same.

 

After reaching home..

 We had a small nap. Woke up around 6 am and delivered the organic fresh Bendi to a few families by 7 am.

Me and my family members are very excited to see the ladysfinger so fresh. Their actual aroma of real ladysfinger was mouthwatering. 

They are very crisp and very tender.  Chopping them didn't take much time. We finished chopping 500 gms of them within a couple of minutes.
